Birds of Prey & Nature

Birds of prey have evolved over many thousands if not millions of years. They are amazing predators that are extremely important to nature. When we fly our pigeons the moment they leave are lofts they also become part of nature. Nature plays no favorites. The weak and unintelligent can become food for predators. How we can successfully fly our birds with a minimum of loss is to work with nature and not against her. The Flying Oriental Roller has evolved in the Middle East over thousands of years by being part of nature. The weak and unintelligent, the birds with improper physical structures were killed by desert falcons and hawks. Those that lived would reproduce more like themselves. Only by flying our birds and picking our breeders from the air will Flying Oriental Rollers keep their hawk evading skills and flying and performing characteristics. Birds of prey play a vital role in all of this. They help us in the selection process of our future breeding stock. They should ''never'' be harmed in any way, and be honored and respected for the magnificent predators Mother Nature has evolved them into. Watching them occasionally chase our Flying Oriental Rollers is a site to behold. You cannot help but to love and respect these creatures that nature has evolved over millions of years.
