Personality & Temperament

They're temperament and character can be somewhat aggressive to one another, especially when introducing new breeding pairs to the breeders loft. They have an almost arrogant disposition and are very cunning and intelligent. There is an ancient aura about them, something one must experience to truly understand. You can while sitting with them in the loft feel and know they are a very old breed. There attitude and bravery towards you is at once one of respect and companionship. I have many birds that love me; they gently peck on my fingers, pull on my shoelaces, and at times start cooing towards me as if I’m their mate or maybe just their friend. These and many other reasons are why I truly love this breed of pigeon.
